At Briken, we believe that respecting the environment is fundamental to our business and part of our responsibility as a company. With increasing levels of pollution globally, it has become extremely important to maintain an operation that releases a very low level of contaminants into the environment.
The powder coating process that we use at Briken is environmentally friendly and virtually pollution free. Our wash tank recycles phosphate so there are very low levels released into sewers and the groundwater system. Powder painting is known as one of the most environmentally friendly finishing methods available because it is efficient and produces much less waste. It is less toxic to the environment than wet painting or plating, both of which can contain high levels of lead and other deadly contaminants. Wet coatings produce high levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), whereas powder coating releases minimal amounts of VOCs.
All of our paints are lead free and our reclaim process allows us to retrieve up to 90% of what is sprayed out of the paint guns. There is no need for pollution control equipment with powder coating because of the nature of the process. Minimizing our waste keeps costs down and the environment safe.
At Briken Coatings we are committed to being environmentally responsible company, both in our operations and by encouraging awareness and accountability to our employees on environmental issues.
